2006
Completed his first season in the Champ Car World Series....Had 9 top ten finishes out of 14 races.... First Australian to gain pole position for the Australian round of the Champ Car World Series on the Gold Coast...Power became the first Australian driver to start a Champ Car race from pole since Geoff Brabham earned pole for the Los Angeles Times at Riverside in California on August 30, 1981....Was the first Australian to claim a podium finish in the Champ Car World Series since Geoff Brabham finished third in the season finale in Miami, Florida on November 1, 1987......Earned Rookie of the Year honors.....Finished 6th in the overall championship with 213 points making him the highest finishing rookie in Champ Car since A.J. Allmendinger in 2004.....Earned the Bridgestone Passion For Excellence Award honoring the driver who completes the fastest aggregate race lap around every circuit on the 2006 Champ Car World Series schedule.
2005
Tested in Barcelona for the first time, clocked the fastest time of 1:28:74 and beat the 2004 pole time by one second... Later joined Carlin Motorsport to run in the World Series by Renault Championship....Competed in the last two Champ Car events in Surfer's Paradise and Mexico City for Team Australia
2004
Competed in the British F3 season for Australian owned Alan Docking Racing....Ran for 12 races and had 5 podium finishes...Participated in one day test at the Misano track in Italy for the European F3000 champions Draco Racing, was the fastest of the four Draco drivers...Again in Misano, he tested in a Minardi F1, completed 22 laps making him the fastest of the three drivers that day.Took part in a three day test for World Series by Renault.After completing 40 laps on the first test day, Power was second fastest and only a tenth off topping the time sheets, placing him seventh fastest at the end of the three day test.
2003
Started the season with Diamond Racing/ Ralt-Honda Mugen, but after struggling with the car that was under-developed compared to the new technologies of engineering giant Dallara, Power decided to further his career elsewhere after competing in three round for the team.Entered the British Formula 3 championship with Fortec Motorsport/Dallara-Renault in the sixth round and was new to all of the tracks and had limited testing opportunities pre-season and achieved a second place podium finish at Thruxton...Drove a 911 Porsche in the Bathurst 24- hour race with three co-drivers, was the fastest of the four, posting a quickest lap time putting him in the top six Bathurst contenders.
2002
Competed in V8 Supercars, finishing 11th out of 32...Qualified 16th out of 38 at the Queensland 500 and finished 18th out of 38 at the Bathurst 1000.... Finished first overall in Formula Holden at the Australian Gold Star Drivers Championship, earned rookie of the year with 7 wins out of 12 starts....Placed second in the Australian Formula 3 Championship had 6 wins, 10 podiums out of 12 starts, earned the pole position and won both races at the Surfer's Paradise Indy 500 street race.
2001
Competed for the Formula Ford National Series in a 1994 model car, placed second overall with 5 wins, and 10 podiums from 16 starts... Earned pole position by one second in the Honda Indy Young Guns, won one race, 2nd in two, and placed second overall.
2000
Participated in the Formula Ford State Series, QLD State Champion, qualified front row for every race entered, 18 podiums out of 18 starts, ending the season with seven wins, nine 2nd's , and two 3rd places....Competed in the Formula Ford National Series in an Australian made Spectrum 07 finishing 7th overall with 5 podiums.... Challenged in Formula Ford Gold Coast Indy Support Race, poled both qualifying sessions, lap record, won the first race and placed 4th in race two (with gearbox failure).
